The lovely outdoor dining area at Backyard. Typically I would have loved to sit outside but we wanted the Chef’s counter view (another favorite spot of mine) so we dined inside.
Chef & Owner Daniel surprising us with this charcuterie & cheese board welcome. They have quite a charcuterie program making their meats all in house which were delicious and each had a very unique story and flavor profile.

The moment I saw this cheese board at Backyard it reminded me of their amazing food which I first fell in love with at Siduri Wine Bar & Tasting Lounge. It was so amazing finally getting to experience Backyard cuisine first hand at this charming Forestville Restaurant and get to meet Owner & Chef Daniel and his great team.

One of our appetizers which was the most delicious fresh peaches with cheese and roasted carrots. Divine!
The incredible pasta dish we enjoyed. Everything was so fresh and seasonal and beyond delicious!
The Fried Chicken was another dish we had which was probably my favorite of the meal. The chicken was beyond juicy and the skin was super crunchy and crispy with each bite you took. I also loved the buttermilk flavor in the crispy skin. This is quite possibly my favorite fried chicken in California’s Wine Country. Fun fact, I also learned Chef Daniel spent a few years working with Chef Thomas Keller at his Ad Hoc Restaurant, which also makes some killer fried chicken…
The delicious Chocolate Mousse dessert we enjoyed. There really wasn’t must room for dessert but I still had a few bites and loved this!
