This recommendation is for my vegan readers! All menu items at the Fog Eater Cafe are vegan-friendly and at no expense of taste. Pair your meal with their delightful selection of natural wine, beers, or wine-based cocktails. Frankie’s Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor
Excellent toppings, perfect crust, fresh ingredients. What more can you ask for from Frankie’s Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor? This family-owned and operated joint might be serving some of the best pizza in the area. After your meal, make sure to try their tasty ice cream that many locals love! Little River Inn Restaurant
I had the pleasure of dining at the Little River Inn Restaurant during my stay. The outdoor dining space has a beautiful, magical ambiance – the restaurant has decorated this space with string lights, heaters, and greenery to keep the atmosphere lively all while following CDC guidelines to ensure every customer’s safety. The food was delightful. I ordered a jeweled cauliflower and their red wine braised ribs, which paired perfectly with my glass of sparkling wine. Italian dining at Mendocino doesn’t get better than Luna Trattoria. Here, you can enjoy some authentic, flavorful Italian food. Following CDC guidelines, they have also opened their patio area so you can indulge in some alfresco dining. The romantic outdoors setting enhances the atmosphere so you can fully enjoy their fine cuisine. If you’re looking for some late-night bites with a good atmosphere, Patterson’s Pub is a no-brainer for the area. This cozy eatery is serving some of the best pub grub around, with even options for vegans. It’s a popular location, so make sure you get there early when there’s less of a line. The Harbor House Inn

A popular spot, loved by locals and travellers, is Trillium Cafe. They have a beautiful garden area with outdoor seating where you can enjoy oceanside views! If you’re looking for a restaurant options with great social-distancing, this is the place to go. Either dine in or get your meal to-go in their gorgeous picnic boxes – take their classical American dishes to other parts of the town or to the beach. Wild Fish Restaurant
Liz Jacobs, a tenured food writer, with her husband Kelvin, an award-winning chef, runs this fantastic restaurant in Little River, which blew me away during my visit. For dinner, I tried their endive salad and codfish in a light buttery sauce, and it was so good I had to return the second day for lunch. All their fish dishes are top-notch and worthy of a try.
