1. Spruce

The swankiest dining room (literally- you feel like you’re in New York City) and bar in Laurel Heights. Spruce offers incredible Michelin star food, an amazing wine list, and the best chocolate chip cookies in the city. They also have a Sunday brunch which is a great way to experience their dining room in a less formal setting than dinner. 2. The Magic Flute

Best outdoor patio seating, yummy food, and the best setting for small parties or showers. I hosted my dear friend’s Baby Shower here in the back patio and it was stunning. 3673 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94118

Best cafe with casual, quick, grab and go options, but also a great spot to hang out, work, or meet a friend! I am obsessed with the taco salad, so definitely try it when you visit. 3613 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94118

4. Nico

Nico has the most intimate, fine dining setting. It feels like a small neighborhood gem, but functions as a lovely fine dining spot. 3228 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94115

5. Sociale

Most private date spot in a secluded alley with a super intimate dining room and a small bar (seating 5-6 tops). People joke that this is where men take their mistresses because it is that private and off the beaten path. 6. Ella’s

Best breakfast spot and most popular weekend brunch destination.  Warning: on the weekends plan for a bit of a wait, but don’t worry, it’s worth it! 500 Presidio Ave, San Francisco, CA 94115

7. Garibaldi’s

A neighborhood classic with a casual setting, well priced tasty food, and a very comfortable relaxed dining experience. They also have a happy hour from 5:00 – 6:30 (or so) which is worth checking out. 347 Presidio Ave, San Francisco, CA 94115

8. Osteria

Best northern Italian food and it has live music on various nights of the week.  I have carried out from here numerous times and the food is always flavorful and yummy. 3277 Sacramento St, San Francisco, CA 94115

10. The JCC’s Cafe

Best smoothies. As someone who visits the JCC 4-5 times a week, I have become hooked on the smoothies here. They also have great salads, sandwiches, and other easy grab-and-go or stay and eat options. 3200 California St, San Francisco, CA 94118
