Garzon Hotel & Restaurant
The Garzon Hotel & Restaurant is one of the most famous restaurants in Uruguay by Chef Francis Mallman. The menu is inspired by various regional products and fish from the Atlantic Ocean. With fresh food and beautiful plating, it’s almost too pretty to dive into.
We visited for lunch and had the pleasure of meeting Chef Mallman who walked by each table welcoming guests, saying hello and making small talk. This was the most unexpected and lovely touch. It’s not every day you get to meet the most famous Chef in Uruguay especially someone so friendly, approachable and talented! Costa Jose Ignacio y, 20401 Garzón, Departamento de Maldonado, Uruguay

Lo De Tere serves some of the best seafood along with the finest countryside ingredients sourced locally. A combination of traditional and modern, this is a great addition to the list. Not to mention it’s female owned and operated by a fabulous Chef who I was lucky to meet during my visit. Rambla General Jose Artigas casi, 20100 Punta del Este, Departamento de Maldonado, Uruguay
