Sangiacomo Family Wines Winery

Sangiacomo Family Winery is a family winery located in Sonoma, California. Two generations work together every day to produce wines that are complex, fresh, and pure. They have continued to honor their family’s tradition of growing premium grapes from their estate vineyards in Carneros, Napa, and along the Sonoma Coast. The Sangiacomo Family continues to honor their family heritage while creating opportunities and continuing their legacy for the next generation.

The Sangiacomo Family is very special to me and I was lucky enough to join them in an unforgettable harvest in 2020 which you can read about here. I also had the opportunity to interview the incredible winemaker James Macphail.

All Sangiacomo Family’s vineyards are located in Sonoma County with the majority near their home in Sonoma and smaller plantings in the nearby Petaluma Gap and Sonoma Coast region. Over 1600 acres are farmed for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in fifteen different vineyards located in four American Viticultural Areas (AVAs): Carneros, Sonoma Coast, Petaluma Gap, and Sonoma Valley. They also farm Cabernet Sauvignon in Oakville, Napa Valley.

Wine tastings are offered at the Sangiacomo Home Ranch which is located just two miles south of Sonoma Plaza. I got to see an insight into the rich history of the Sangiacomo family.

There was a beautiful display of some of the best wines on the wall.

The beautiful and spacious terrace is where I got to taste their current release wines including Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

I truly enjoyed a relaxing private wine tasting at Sangiacomo Family Vineyards. I also took a stroll around the vineyard and learned about the family’s farming, traditions, and sustainability practices.
