If you happen to be in the Chicago area, Alinea Restaurant is one you must try. It has been awarded the best restaurant in the country quite a few times so the more I got into food this was always high on my bucket list. I was beyond thrilled for a recent Birthday when my Dad and step-mom gave me dinner at Alinea as my birthday gift. 1723 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614

My Beautiful Birthday Dinner

We started off our dinner with a bottle of wine introduced by the amazing staff. The Alinea Chicago Restaurant isn’t a Michelin Star Restaurant for no reason… They are one of the best of the best, especially in the Chicago area. One of the courses took us into the kitchen where we watched the team create a fabulous cocktail for us paired with this divine bite.

Everything served here is so amazing, and the presentations were beyond inventive, creative, delicious and very photogenic. A blogger’s dream. Truly!

I was super excited to try their impressive wine list. I loved spotting a Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir favorite Occidental on the list and of course enjoyed a glass. Read more about Occidental Wines and their gorgeous winery here. 

Lucky me, my Step Mom Linda took me to Alinea as a Birthday Gift!! What a special evening that I will always treasure.
