Ayana Hotel’s Kisik Bar & Grill Restaurant
Following sunset cocktails at The Rock Bar Sara, Matt and I proceeded to the Kisik Bar & Grill for Sara’s Birthday dinner celebration. The restaurant was along the ocean just next to Rock Bar with spectacular Ocean and Beach front views. We were told their fresh seafood bar was the way to go so we decided to share some Sea Food amongst the table. What a wise choice. After visiting the Fish Bar and chatting with the Chef and some of the team we landed on ordering a freshly caught Fish & Shrimp (the largest shrimp I’d ever seen). Everything was delicious and beyond fresh tasting.
Not to mention that after almost three weeks of not having Wine due to the tax on Wine and Alcohol in Bali (which causes Wine to be about three times what we’re used to paying in the US) Sara decided for her big birthday to splurge on a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Was it my birthday too? I felt like such a lucky girl enjoying a few glasses of wine after my two to three-week wine hiatus. The few weeks without wine made me realize how much I do love and need wine in my life! You can take the girl out of California… but not the California out of the girl!!
Speaking of California, a special thanks to my new friends Sara & Matt for including me in our fun evening at the Ayana. Starting with the gorgeous happy hour cocktails at The Rock Bar and concluding with a fabulous Birthday Dinner and Wine unveiling, what a fabulous night. It’s experiences like this and making new fabulous friends I make along the way that is why I travel and love it so much. Jl. Karang Mas Sejahtera, Jimbaran, Bali 80364, Indonesia
