A Behind The Scenes Tour Of The Oslo Grand Hotel & The Nobel Prize Suite
During a recent stay The Oslo Grand Hotel I had the privilege of enjoying a behind the scenes tour with the Public Relations Team. After touring the hotel and seeing the Nobel Prize Suite (where the Nobel Prize Winner stays during their Oslo visit), their bridal Suite as well as the female only wing of the hotel I have to say The Oslo Grand really is magical and a place I highly recommend you visit in Oslo, Norway. Be sure to check out more of the hotel on my Oslo Grand Hotel stay here…..
The Grand Hotel Suite, I love the bright green colors!
The Mikado Suite
This suite was very cool as it had a very retro cool hip feel to it. Rhianna had recently stayed here just before our tour which was very interesting to hear about. I can see why a cool musician would want stay in this uber chic Suite!
The Nobel Peace Prize Suite
Having the opportunity to visit the Nobel Peace Prize Suite was one of the most historic parts of this tour. To think that various American Presidents as shown below including President Carter, President O’Bama amongst many other legendary scholars and political figures stayed here is quite amazing. The Suite also has spectacular main street views which are stunning!
Me, my Mom and my sister Lise enjoying the tour
Views from the Suite onto the front side of the hotel and the gorgeous parkway
The Honeymoon Suite
The Honeyoon Suite is on the top floor of the hotel with a romantic tower that you climb up to through a small narrow staircase (shown below). It’s a bit older than some of the other suites I saw, but the duplex feel and the various cozy nooks and crannies gives it a lot of character and an intimate feel. Regardless if I were to get married at the Oslo Grand Hotel I’d be a very happy girl!
The Ladies Floor
The Ladies Floor is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s a wing of the hotel with various Suites named after legendary women. Some athletes, some historical figures, really a mix of people. It’s very beautiful as you’ll see below and a place I’d love to stay at next time I stay in Oslo.
