About Viansa Sonoma
Viansa Sonoma is a winery with history dating back to 1896 when Samuele Sebastiani arrived from Tuscany and saved enough money (while making cobblestones for San Francisco streets) to purchase vineyard property in 1904.
Best described on Viansa Sonoma’s website as, “Following in his footsteps, Samuele’s children and grandchildren continued the tradition of sharing great wine, supporting the land from where it comes, and through passionately maintaining precious wetlands that are vital to their eco-system. Founded by Samuele’s grandson in 1989, Viansa Sonoma remains committed to producing wines of true excellence while continuing the tradition of land stewardship and winemaking that defines the Sonoma Valley.”
The stunning vineyard and landscape design surrounding the 33 acres of estate vineyards and 97 acres of natural wetlands.
Arriving to Viansa, prior to the tour, we were welcomed with some delicious Blanc de Blanc Sparkling Brut.
Me and my friend, Lara, enjoying the tour of the property.
The historic marble barrel room.
Enjoying a taste of the Viansa Pinot Noir during the tour.
The beautiful set up of the private outlook tasting which I enjoyed. This 90 minute experience for 2-6 guests is $75 and such a unique way to take in the stunning views, enjoy the wines, and enjoy the delicious charcuterie and cheese provided by Sondra Bernstein of girl & the fig. More tasting details available here.
The delicious spread of charcuterie and cheese we enjoyed during the visit. This was just the first of our delicious eats, we enjoyed some pizza next…
