As much as I love visiting the beautiful wineries in Sonoma and Napa Valley for their delicious wines, Wine Country has so much to offer. You may not immediately think of fried chicken when Wine Country comes to mind, but believe me when I say these spots listed below do not disappoint. Ad Hoc + Addendum
Ad Hoc + Addendum, one of Thomas Keller’s restaurants, has spectacular fried chicken. It’s so good that they even dedicate Sunday nights to Fried Chicken. Be sure to make a reservation as they’re hard to get into and enjoy the delicious Fried Chicken. Bird & The Bottle
One of the most amazing Fried Chickens I’ve enjoyed in downtown Santa Rosa is the Bird & The Bottle Fried Chicken. Their presentation is so darling and their food is just as tasty! You’re definitely going to want to check out this awesome spot.
The slider version of the fried chicken was just as good as it looks.
Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards
Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards hosted me for a fabulous wine & food tasting and I was pleasantly surprised by one pairing option in particular. That’s right, you can sip delicious Sonoma wines while eating some of the best-fried chicken in the area. The Fried Chicken & Caviar Tasting is $150 and fees about 4 (with 1/2 a bucket of Fried Chicken left over to take home) and you get to enjoy a Bottle of the Estate Chalk Hill Chardonnay. Lo & Behold
Lo & Behold in Healdsburg is a lively, modern restaurant and bar known for its creative, seasonally inspired menu and craft cocktails. Offering a blend of locally sourced ingredients and global flavors, the restaurant serves inventive dishes that reflect the bounty of Sonoma. The chicken tenders they have on their menu are some of the best, just pair it with a cocktail! This is my go to meal whenever I’m at Lo & Behold. Try it yourself and you’ll see why.
The Fern Bar at The Barlow
The Fern Bar at the Barlow is an amazing spot to satisfy your fried chicken cravings. Their fried chicken sandwich is the perfect amount of crispy chicken and flavor that includes some coleslaw and their special sauce. Be sure to add some fries to this delicious meal!
The Fig Cafe
Anyone who knows girl & the fig is familiar with Sondra Bernstein’s amazing culinary creations. Speaking of Sondra read my interview with Sondra Bernstein here…. Well her Fried Chicken is just as fabulous as you’d expect coming from her amazing Culinary team. The Fried Chicken is available at The Fig Cafe, located in Glen Ellen. Wild Bird at The Flamingo Resort
I had the pleasure of visiting Wild Bird at the Flamingo Resort in Santa Rosa for their friends & family preview opening and I immediately fell in love with the fun, vibrant hotel and pool scene, their great drinks, and their divine Fried Chicken Sandwich. It was not only super crispy, but beyond juicy made from organic Mary’s Chicken. This is hands down one of the best Fried Chicken Sandwiches in Sonoma County!
