December of 2018 I was generously invited by my friends at Celebrity Cruises for a media trip on their newest ship, Celebrity Edge. Note, a media trip means that I was hosted by the brand and didn’t pay for the trip, If Celebrity Cruises rings a bell, it’s because I took an amazing cruise on their Celebrity Reflection ship a few years ago so you may have read about that on the blog.
Check out the beautiful new Celebrity Edge and see how fabulous my two-day cruise was getting to experience this brand new state of the art ship. After you’ve been on Celebrity’s Edge it will be very hard to cruise with any other ship – it is that beautiful, luxurious and over-the-top!
The staterooms on the new Celebrity Edge are the widest range of staterooms in the Celebrity fleet and they’re spectacular. Extremely bright, modern and fresh with a lovely airy vibe to the cabin. I loved that the veranda is a part of the room so you can close the glass window off and still enjoy the large seating area within your cabin vs. older ships where the chairs are outside on the balcony so when you close the balcony your room gets smaller and you lose the additional seating space.
Views of the deck, the running track (which borders the edge of the ship), the pool and the bar. One of my favorite parts of this pool area were the two hot tubs off to the left and right (the large round looking tulips almost) with stunning sky top views overlooking the entire pool. I took a dip in the hot tub and literally felt on top of the world or in this case, on top of the Celebrity Edge!
All smiles as I settled into the Celebrity Edge. This is me overlooking the stunning pool.
Aerial views of the stunning NEW Celebrity Edge ship. Note, on the right side of the ship is the Magic Carpet which is a new invention currently only on Celebrity’s Edge. It goes up and down the ship (up to 13 floors) and on the 5th floor acts as a bar and outdoor dining lounge. It changes its use by floor. Talk about an exciting addition and innovation. Like I said, the Celebrity Edge is truly like no other cruise ship.

Taking in the departure views as we left Fort Lauderdale for St. Thomas. This brought back memories of my last cruise with Celebrity Cruises departing Miami for the Caribbean. My favorite spot to be as the ship departs is on the roof (with a glass of Champagne in hand of course) enjoying the scenic city and ocean views.
The Grand Plaza which is a stunning open, three-story venue inspired by the piazzas of Italy and the invigorating energy of guests coming together to savor a taste of the good life on Celebrity’s Edge.
This is where the specialty restaurants are located (along the upper balcony) along with the Martini Bar, Café al Bacio (the adorable coffee bar), and the new Grand Plaza Café.
Raw on 5 which is one of the specialty restaurants (which means there is an additional fee to dine there), but soooooo worth a visit. I had lunch here and was blown away by the beautiful setting and the delicious fresh seafood. Read more about Raw on 5 on my Celebrity Edge Dining & Wine Guide here.
Me and sushi chef, Yoshikazu “Yoshi” Okada at Raw Bar on 5.
The stunning Celebrity Edge spa and gym lobby. I worked out in this gym and was blown away by the beautiful views and the facilities guests got to enjoy.
One of my highlights were the multiple Peloton spinning bicycles which I used. What is more perfect than a cruise on Celebrity Edge and a workout with Peloton. I have one at home so was thrilled to get to keep my workout routine while cruising on Celebrity Edge.
The relaxation room on the Celebrity Edge’s stunning new spa.
Every corner I poked around I found another beautiful creative work of art to photograph and enjoy. Isn’t this living plant EDGE sign incredible?
The stunning Eden bar & restaurant. Read more about the Eden in my Celebrity Edge Dining & Wine Guide here
One of the roof top dining and outdoor spaces, the Rooftop Garden Grill. I enjoyed an incredible live music performance here from an Rnglish rock band which was awesome!
Thanks to Celebrity Cruises for having me as their hosted guest on this 2-day media cruise. It was wonderful cruising again with Celebrity and seeing their stunning new Celebrity Edge. I look forward to returning on the Celebrity Edge very soon for a bit longer than my 48-hour first cruise!
