The Hyatt Resort, Spa & Casino Incline Village Tahoe

When Winter hits Northern California San Francisco clears out and many folks head to Tahoe for their weekends. After five years living in San Francisco I finally had the chance to spend a long weekend in Tahoe. Read about my incredible Winter getaway to The Hyatt Lake Tahoe and my stay at The Hyatt Resort, Spa & Casino at Incline Village below….

Toyota Highlander

Road tripping from San Francisco to Lake Tahoe for my first Tahoe winter getaway!  A huge thanks to Toyota for partnering with me on this weekend getaway and sharing this 2018 Toyota Highlander with me. This was perfect for a winter weekend getaway with the All Wheel Drive, the great storage (for ski gear, and a lot of bags) as I tend to pack heavy for road trips…. I also thought the Black color was so chic and luxurious. It handled so so well in the snow, rain and woodsy conditions and really was the perfect luxury SUV for a trip to Lake Tahoe.

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino

The Hyatt Lake Tahoe.  Although the hotel is not located on the water, it’s about a quarter of a mile away with a restaurant on the water providing guess access to the beautiful lake front with dining, areas to relax and just take in the incredible Lake Tahoe views.

Arriving to the hotel with a lovely welcome of some Sparkling Wines. Cheers to my first Winter getaway to Lake Tahoe and my upcoming stay at The Hyatt Regency. And how cute are these bears?

Aerial views of the hotel. I stayed in the new wing (on the right of the pool) with stunning pool side views. I recommend the new wing if you visit with beautiful new spacious rooms, balconies (which some rooms have, like the one I had) and pool side views.

These were the great balcony views from my room. Cheers to a fabulous weekend in Tahoe and settling in for this relaxing vacation getaway!

A lovely afternoon snack I was surprised with in my room by the team at The Hyatt. Thanks for spoiling me.

After settling into my room I headed down to the Pool & Hot Tub area to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and take in the sunset. How incredible is it that in March I can be outside in a hot tub with beautiful snow covered ground views. Amazing!

After two days in Tahoe hanging with friends a night of room service in this fabulous hotel was just what I needed. I ordered the pizza and always come prepared with wines from my cellar (I am rarely home to enjoy them there so bring them with me when I travel to taste and enjoy).

The delicious River Bench Pinot Noir I paired with the Pizza. River Bench is an incredible winery in Santa Maria (Santa Barbara’s Wine Country). Read more about River Bench and my Top 10 Santa Maria Wineries here.

The Spa which if you decide not to do a treatment (as I didn’t do) you can still visit and enjoy a day pass which gives you access to the relaxation room, the sauna, steam room, outdoor pool and outdoor hot tub (which hotel guests have access to as well).

Hyatt Lake Tahoe

This is truly heaven laying out during my afternoon at the Spa at the Hyatt’s pool. It’s hard to believe it’s March, that’s what I LOVE about Northern California!

The spectacular views of Lake Tahoe from the Lone Eagle Grille which is a part of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Although the hotel is not on the water, this restaurant is just down the street (literally across the street from the hotel) which is on the waterfront so hotel guests can hang out  along the waterfront or enjoy at dining or cocktails with water front views at the Lone Eagle Grille.

2018 Toyota Highlander Hybrid

During my second day at the hotel I ventured to Incline Village’s Diamond Peak Mountain. I was hoping to ski but I decided to take it easy, eat lunch and take in the beautiful mountain and just relax and enjoy beautiful Tahoe. This was literally a five-minute drive from the Hyatt Regency, so easy and convenient!

Farewell Lake Tahoe. Back to San Francisco in my 2018 Toyota Highlander. I am hooked on this car, it’s absolutely perfect for a ski or winter weekend getaway. Thanks again to Toyota for sharing this with me for this Tahoe weekend.

Thanks to the Hyatt Regency, Resort & Spa for hosting me for this stay for two evenings.
