My Magical Stay at Domaine du Chalet

Domaine du Chalet

Arriving at Domaine du Chalet you are welcomed with to this stunning view. It feels as if you’ve arrived at someone’s personal home rather than a hotel. Wait until you step inside this has the warmest vibe and energy to it.Ā  This is truly a luxurious chateau experience you should try if you want something luxurious, out of the ordinary with gorgeous character, charm and spectacular details and touches for guests.

Within the Chateau is the main living room which is where we enjoyed a tasting with Palmer & Co. the Winery which owns the Chateau. Read more about their lovely wines and our tasting here. INSERT LINK TO PALMER & CO TASTING POST.Ā  This living room was absolutely gorgeous (like the rest of the chateau) and perfect for guests to enjoy relaxing throughout their stay at Domaine du Chalet.

Views of our two-bedroomĀ suite we stayed in. This was perfect since I was visiting with my friend Liz. After a week of traveling together and sharing a bed, what a luxury to each have our own beds in this adjoining master suite. We also had gorgeous views of the property including waking up to views of the horses grazing. This really is unlike any other hotel experience I’ve had in France and aĀ must-visitĀ if you plan a trip to Reims France. The chalet is located in Chigny-les-Roses which is about a 2o minute drive from Reims. Conveniently you can get here by train from Paris (which is what we did)Ā and there is a direct train you can take to the airport which makes this super easy to get to from Paris or the airport.

On the Chateau property, there are two horses. During our morning walk after a delicious breakfast cooked by ChefĀ Damien we spotted these two. What a magnificent surprise and a beautiful view to take in.

During our second evening at the Chalet, we enjoyed dinner in their lovely dining room Le Table l’Hote prepared by ChefĀ Damien Litaudon.

ThisĀ Monkfish was paired with a tasty herring mashed potato and butter which was divine!

The lovely hostess sharing more Palmer & Co. champagne with us. Each course of dinner was paired with a Palmer & Co. wine. Talk about indulgent and special. What a dinner to remember!

One of the two dessert dishes, one was sweet and this was the savory cheese plate.

ChefĀ Damien Litaudon visiting us during our delicious dinner.Ā  Part of what made this hotel and dining experience so special was all of the small intimate touches. Chef coming out after the meal to chat with us and ask us our thoughts was just one of the details making this experience so special and memorable.Ā

Morning views as we enjoyed breakfast cooked a la carte by Chef Damien. Breakfast is served in the kitchen with views of the rolling hills of this beautiful region.

Thanks to the Domaine du Chalet team for hosting me and Liz for this magnificentĀ experience. Both the hotel stay and the culinary and wine pairings were spectacular and something I will never forget. I hope to return again someday to visit this magical place again. It truly is unlike any other hotel experience I’ve had and will hold a special place in my heart when I think about my second trip to Champagne France and what made it so special!Ā
