W Retreat & Spa Seminyak Bali

As you’ve already read I’m a huge of Starwood Hotels. I tend to stay in W Hotels, Westin Hotels (I’m a sucker for their beds and amenities) and LOVE Le Meridien & St. Regis Hotels (when I want to splurge). All four brands are Starwood Hotels within the Starwood Hotel Group. I had looked into staying at the The W Retreat & Spa when planning my Seminyak portion of the trip, however, $400 USD per night (for a room I’d be alone in) was more than I wanted to spend. I stayed down the street from The W Retreat & Spa at the Semara Resort & Spa which was $90 USD per night and perfect for what I wanted.

The W Retreat & Spa – Upon first entering the Hotel there’s a very long private driveway (see below) lined with trees dimly lit (in the evening). After a two-minute ride you enter the grand outdoor lobby. As you’ll see from the pictures below it’s a fabulous building with gorgeous gardens, sexy lighting, and chic modern furniture and decor. There are various bars to visit, depending on the mood you’re in and what’s going on that night. I was told when there’s a guest DJ the outdoor pool bar is the hot spot. However, the indoor main lobby bar was also quite sexy as well. I have been to many W Hotels and this may be the coolest. I loved the large open feel of the lobby overlooking the gardens, pools & ocean. It also was extremely spacious so you don’t feel as if other guests are on top of you. I highly recommend The W Retreat & Spa Seminyak for those loving W Hotels, wanting a new hotel with a lively scene and are ok spending over $400 USD a night.
