Lake Tahoe’s Sunnyside Restaurant & Bar with the Best Happy Hour Views on Tahoe’s West Shore
What is Sunnyside Restaurant & Bar: Sunnyside Restaurant is one of the most popular destinations along Lake Tahoe’s West shore. 1850 W Lake Blvd, Tahoe City, CA 96145
Why visit: If you’re looking for a fabulous destination to either take in the sunset over a cocktail or happy hour eats or for great fine dining Sunnyside Restaurant & Lodge is the perfect destination. It has both a casual Happy Hour more casual style dining side as well as a more upscale fine dining side of the restaurant, really something for everyone.
Cheers to a fabulous evening enjoying Lake Tahoe’s West Shore with spectacular views and amazing eats and drinks
What are the must try’s: If you’re visiting for Happy Hour or just a light bite and a drink enjoy the Zucchini Bites (shown below) which is one of their most popular appetizers.
Recommendations for the fine dining restaurant: I enjoyed Fish and Filet during my visit which were both great! Be sure to ask to be seated as close to the dock as possible to enjoy the beautiful lake front views and the scenery from the boats coming and going.
Fish Tacos the perfect starter for a summer night if you’re craving some seafood.
What should you wear when visiting: Like most of Lake Tahoe, Sunnyside is super casual so really anything goes! If you’re visiting the casual side for happy hour or a light bite I’d recommend a shorts, a skirt of a sundress. For the dressier, more formal side, a skirt of sundress would both work. I may avoid shorts since it’s a bit fancier and more of an elevated dining experience.
The delicious Filet entree which was amazing!
You really can’t beat this view. Cheers to a relaxing summer weekend in California’s amazing Lake Tahoe
