My Lovely Round Pond Estate Winery COVID Wine Tasting Experience

Round Pond Estate Winery is a lovely winery in Rutherford, California that I’ve visited quite a bit over the years and adore! Rutherford is about an hour’s drive north of San Francisco, so it’s the perfect spot for a weekend winery visit with some pals. Speaking of Rutherford, I’m currently in the process of writing a Top 10 Rutherford Wineries blog post, which I will be sure to update you on!

During this visit I continued to be amazed by how fabulous The Round Pond Estate Winery wines were and their friendly and courteous staff. Additionally, I was impressed by the COVID safety protocols they put in place making visitors have that extra layer of comfort and reassurance while wine tasting during COVID.

Another new addition to Round Pond during COVID was the additional outside seating where guests can enjoy wine tastings under these pretty shaded trees. On a hot day in Napa Valley, a little shade is always appreciated. JSF Tip is to always pack a sun hat when heading to Napa Valley. Even in the fall it’s great to both protect your face from sun damage and also adds a fun addition to any outfit.

Now on to the tasting!

At any wine tasting, these small details make all the difference such as this lovely menu! These are the wines I was lucky enough to be able to try during this Artisan Wine Tasting Experience.

During this visit, I also had the chance to experience the Round Pond Estate Winery Olive Oil Tasting. This was not only delicious but super informative smelling olive oils side by side.

Cupping the olive oil so I can then smell the delicious intense flavors and see how they compare.

Hanging out with the wonderful Kat who’s always a blast when we’re in Wine Country together.

This is the Round Pond Estate Proprietary Wed Wine. It was absolutely delicious and extremely smooth and paired perfectly with the cheese plate we enjoyed.

Another level of safety during COVID I want to point out that the lovely Round Pond ambassador hosting us was wearing sanitary gloves and wore a mask adding another comfort level as a guest winetasting during COVID.  It was great to see Round Pond Estate Winery taking these precautions so seriously for the safety of their employees and guests.
