The Cape Cabo San Lucas & Their Incredible Spa

During a recent visit to Cabo I had the pleasure of staying at the recently opened The Cape, a Thompson Hotel in Cabo San Lucas.  This was really my first experience staying with Thompson Hotels and after a lovely stay, it will not be my last.

Read more about the The Cape here.   If you are visiting I highly recommend you spend some time at the  Spa within the Hotel. During my last day I was able to take advantage of this incredible on site Spa and get a 90-minute massage. Typically when I get a massage it’s 60-minutes so this was a very special treat thanks to the Cape Hotel. I always find when staying at a hotel to get the entire experience it is best to dine at their restaurants and experience their spa, in addition to just staying with them. This way you really get to see all elements of the hotel amenities.

Having been to Luxury Hotel Spa’s in over 35+ countries and 5 continents, read about some of my favorite Hotel Spa’s here, I will have a hard time forgetting about the Cape’s Spa. Why? For starters the location and the views. It is on the ground floor of the hotel with spectacular ocean front views. The lounge area is also one of the coolest Spa lounges that I have ever enjoyed due to the open air experience and once again, spectacular beach front views. As if the experience could not get any better after enjoying some R & R in the relaxation room my masseuse led me to the treatment area. I was thrilled to see my massage was going to take place in an outdoor cabana as close to the edge of the ocean as possible. This made the experience exhilarating. As I was relaxing and enjoying an incredible massage I was listening to the waves hit the beach front adding another soothing element to this already over the top dreamy experience. On top of the setting, my masseuse was incredible.  After experiencing many massages it does get hard to differentiate what makes each more special than the next. This masseuse had the perfect touch and would pull my arms and legs just a bit in a stretch-like technique which felt wonderful.

As you can see, this was truly a magnificent massage, hands down one of best I have ever experienced. I look forward to my next visit to Cabo and even if I don’t get to stay at The Cape I will surely return for another beach front 90-minute massage.  Carretera Transpeninsular Km 5, Misiones del Cabo, 23455 Cabo San Lucas, BCS, Mexico.
