San Francisco Quince Restaurant
Behind the scenes Kitchen Tour
I feel fortunate to have joined Quince during their renovation at their amazing Quince Curate Pop Up. The pop up was located just across the street from Quince at Hedge Gallery. During this event I experienced Quince dining for the first time and decided I would have to return when they reopened.
Well, I haven’t had a special enough occasion for a dinner at Quince. Let’s be honest, it’s not like grabbing a burger at your local bar. It’s a very special, luxurious meal that also comes with a very special price tag. So, when I planned to dine at their sister restaurant Cotogna I thought what a perfect excuse to swing by Quince. I was anxious to see the new kitchen I’d heard so much about. These days I get more excitement seeing the kitchen and the chefs behind the scenes at work than enjoying being a guest in the dining room. I guess it’s the foodie in me. I’m always curious to see what’s going on behind the scenes and to see the amazing chefs at work in their natural habitat. In this case, the Kitchen tour was just that. We saw the chef’s precision and patience with each dish they cooked and then plated. They used a delicate touch, paying exquisite detail to each and every dish. It really was a work of art to watch!! 470 Pacific Ave, San Francisco, CA 94133. (415) 775-8500.

My pal Rex, the Quince Service Manager. Talk about a great smile with beyond amazing service!
The dessert cart that visits each table. You can select whatever you want! Fabulous, right?
My fabulous dessert assortment along with a glass of Chardonnay. Perfection!
The Floating Island Dessert: Pomegranate, Creme Fraiche amongst other fabulousness
The Chocolate Cremeux. It was delicious, but if I had to choose A La Carte dessert and the Carte, I’d go carte hands down!
Thanks Chef de Cuisine Jonathan Black for the fabulous Kitchen Tour and your time hosting us
Farewell Cotogna & Quince, until next time….
