Getting from Bali Mainland to Nusa Lembongan Island

by Boat

After more than three weeks in Bali and a ticket to return home I decided I was not ready to leave…. Anyone that has been to Bali will understand. It’s beautiful with extremely nice, friendly people, has amazing food, beaches, weather and is affordable. To me this is what I’d call heaven! Especially for a traveler looking to make their money go far and travel as long as possible.

After connecting with a new pal Greta (thanks to an introduction from a San Francisco pal Julie, also my PR advisor on my Board of Advisors) I had a travel partner to stay in Bali longer with and explore. She suggested we explore the Islands of Bali and I happily agreed. My terms were that she take care of the hotel accommodations since I had carefully mapped out the prior 3 weeks in Bali by day and was a bit burnt out of hotel planning (shocking since I usually love that stuff). Clearly Bali was relaxing me and I just wanted to go with the flow and Island hop with someone else telling me what to do and where to do.

After taking a small ferry from Bali’s Mainland (Uluwatu) to Nusa Lebongan Island we had arrived.  The island was very small. So small that there weren’t many cars just a few little trucks that drove guests to their hotels otherwise everyone travelled by foot or moped. I could get used to that!
