The Second Story
We all love the downstairs cafe and lounge that Little Saint Healdsburg has to offer, but The Second Story has something even more spectacular and special… This is their elevated dining concept with a unique culinary experience based on the seasons produce. The food is sourced from their own Little Saint Farm, and other surrounding areas. This set menu offers a series of courses that are thoughtfully paired with their wine and cocktail menu. I have to say I was blown away by the dining experience, wine pairings and lovely setting of The Second Story.
Delicious Food
The fabulous multi-course menu was curated by Executive Chef Stu Stalker (shown below). Picture courtesy of Little Saint. Chef Stu Walker hails from NOMA so you can imagine the excitement when he arrived to Healdsburg leading the culinary program at Little Saint.
Each dish highlights the natural beauty and flavor found in nature with ingredients from Little Saint Farm. Executive Pastry chef Baruch Ellsworth adds the perfect sweet touch to the dining experience. Amazing flavors and visually beautiful desserts!
Fabulous Drinks
Executive Director of Beverages and Sustainability is Matt Seigel. He has developed a beverage program that collaborates perfectly with Little Saint Farm and the kitchen. Speaking of drinks, Little Saint’s bar has become one of the best spots in town for craft cocktails and more. My friend, the amazing Wine Director Alex Sarovich has curated an amazing wine program that pairs perfectly with the menus throughout the year. This is a program that focuses on female winemakers as well as wines from a diverse background including some natural wines. Alex is extremely talented with a culinary and wine background so truly understands the nuances of great wine and culinary pairings.

Dinner at The Second Story
I was so excited to try the full dinner at The Second Story. I wanted to try this as soon as possible since Little Saint has been a wonderful addition to the area. There are so many fun details here and the staff does an excellent job making you feel welcome.
I was thrilled that one of the wines on the tasting menu was this gorgeous Chardonnay by Ernest Vineyards. Learn more about Ernest Vineyards in their new downtown Healdsburg Tasting Salon. See that and my other favorite Healdsburg Tasting Rooms on the blog here.
After the delicious rosé paired with the next course, of course we had to have red wine for our entree. This was quite an old, yet still very tasty and full of flavor, Italian red wine which we loved!
A meal isn’t complete without dessert! They did a super fun pairing with the dessert and brought out some Mezcal (seen above) which we enjoyed a small shot of. Very fun and unexpected.
Another special thanks to the amazing team here at Little Saint, The Second Story. The attentiveness, kindness and professionalism made the experience even more special.
