What is Red Car Wine and Where Are They Located: Red Car is a fabulous Sonoma Winery with a tasting room in Sebastopol that is open 7 days a week with a very cool, hip vibe to it and a super friendly team. They don’t offer food so if you’re going around lunch grab a picnic or sandwich near bye at Andy’s Produce Market and bring it along. 8400 Graton Road. Sebastapol, CA 95472
How does Red Car Describe themselves: “We are hands-on farmers, part of a small cadre of wineries in our region who are fortunate to grow a large majority of our own fruit. For several years now we have worked hard to go beyond sustainability and have integrated the concepts and principles of organic, biodynamic and permaculture systems into our farming as we search for nature’s ideal pathways. Wine is important because it connects us to nature. But to offer meaning beyond itself, a wine has to come from a certain place, not just any place. And the winemaker must stand aside and allow that place to transmit its story without manipulation. This is our never-ending pursuit at Red Car.”
How are the Wines: The Wines are great! They are grown in cold-climate vineyards on the edge of the Pacific offering a variety of Pinot Noirs, Syrah’s, Chardonnays and a Rose. They range in price from $28 – $72 (for the Estate Varietal).
Why should you visit: Because Red Car Wine has awesome wines at great prices (starting at $28) in the setting of a fabulous Sonoma County tasting room. You can visit 7 days a week from 10am – 5pm. I promise you’ll love the relaxed, casual vibe of the tasting room. You can hang inside or out with plenty of games (cornhole, chess….) creating an environment that you’ll want to hang out at all day!
