Cheers to this August’s Sta. Rita Wine & Fire weekend. This was my first time attending this event and it was fabulous. What’s not to love about a weekend with fabulous Sta. Rita Hills wine, great people in the stunning region of Sta. Rita Hills.
Arriving at the Grand Tasting Saturday evening
Next on the tasting agenda was Temperance Cellars. This is a gem from Sta. Rita Hills which I learned about when the winemaker reached out to me sharing samples for me to try. After tasting this stunning Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay from White Hawk Vineyard I was hooked. Read more about Temperance Cellars on my Holiday Wine Giving Gift Guide here.
Knowing that I adore Temperance Cellar’s Chardonnay from Kessler-Haak Vineyard it was no surprise I also really enkjoyed the Kessley-Haawk Wines.
This was a new wine I tried for the first time at the event and it was great!
It wouldn’t be a Food & Wine Event without the amazing team from Hitching Post at the event. Read more about Hitching Post Restaurant & Wines on the blog here.
Food was provided by various culinary providers such as Full of Life Flatbread which makes some of the most delicious pizzas in the region!
Enjoying some amazing wines from Greg Brewer of Brewer Clifton (another winery in my Top 10 Lompoc Best Tasting Room Guide here).
I always love enjoying Spear Wines. Read more about this Winery on my Top 10 Sta. Rita Hills Wineries post here.
Me and two legends in the winemaking world. Adam Lee of Siduri Wines and now Clarice, and Richard Sanford of Alma Rosa Winery. Read more about Adam on my interview with him here.
Enjoying some Sta. Rita Wines from the Siduri Winery team. Siduri is a Sonoma gem which makes wine from almost every region of California and also Oregon. Their wines are lovely and this is their newest Winemaker Matt Revelette. Read more about Siduri’s downtown Healdsburg tasting room on the blog here.
Enjoying the beautiful wines from the Samsara team.
Kita Wines Winemaker Tara Gomez who’s amazing. I tasted with her a few years ago when I first learned about Kita Wines and fell in love. Kita Wines is also in my Best Lompoc Tasting Room Guide here.
Tara and her wife recently launched a new wine brand which they shared with guests at the event.
Buscador was another wine brand I tasted for the first time at this event which I really enjoyed.
A lovely welcome from Tyler Wines who is located in Lompoc. Read more about Tyler Wines in my Top 10 Lompoc Tasting Room Guide here.
