I had an incredible time touring New Orleans for the first (of many) visits. My best friend Kat and her friend Kiki curated an amazing itinerary. With Kiki being a local, we enjoyed an insider’s tour of the city. Huge thanks to Kiki and Kat for showing me New Orleans in true style! We visited in June, and while it was VERY hot, we made the most of it by hopping from one restaurant or bar to another, enjoying the air conditioning. If you’re not a fan of extreme heat, I recommend avoiding the summer months.

Peche Seafood Grill
Peche Seafood Grill is a renowned seafood restaurant known for its fresh and sustainably sourced dishes. Peche offers an array of seafood dishes, including whole grilled fish, oysters, and gumbo, along with inventive sides and appetizers.
We went to Peche the first night of my trip and I LOVED everything I ate. This is a must. Note the setting is not super fancy (it doesn’t feel as old school as some on this list) so people were in jeans and not as fancily dressed as some of the other spots on the list. 800 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130

Me and my bestie Kat who joined me for my inaugural New Orleans Birthday Trip! She used to live here so was a fabulous guide and partner in crime.

The fried donuts are a MUST order at Peche. They were so great we ordered a second order!
