Healdsburg, California has become a frequent spot I enjoy visiting. Not only because they have an amazing wine scene both downtown and outside of the square, but because of the incredible charm of the town, the amazing dining, and the people! It all comes together to create an incredible vibe that you cannot miss! Below you’ll find my recommendations for the Best Healdsburg Tasting Rooms to experience.

What to Wear Wine Tasting?

Everyone always asks me what to wear when they’re wine tasting. To help with the planning I’ve created a guide of some of my favorite wine country essentials below when planning a trip to Wine Country!

Banshee Wines Tasting Room

Banshee Wines Tasting Room is one of those spots that I never get tired of. It has a cool, modern, fun scene with great wines, mostly Sonoma & Russian River including Pinot Noir, Rose, and Chardonnays. It really is an essential stop in Healdsburg that everyone seems to enjoy. Also they’re now owned by Foley Wines so if you join Banshee Wines you can get access to their other wineries such as another one I adore Chalk Hill also in 325 Center St, Healdsburg, CA 95448

Blood Root Wines

Blood Root Wines is founded by, Kelly & Noah Dorrance who you may recognize from Reeve Wines (another spectacular brand they own) and also from their former brand Banshee (which they co-founded and have since sold). They have the best taste in branding, decor, wines, really everything. Cartograph Wines

Another great Healdsburg Tasting Room that is also family-owned is Cartograph Wines. They have a lovely interior setting and great wines I highly recommend you check out!

Hartford Family Winery

Hartford Family Winery‘s Tasting Room is located right in the heart of downtown Healdsburg. The tasting showcases a selection of four of their unique wines from some of the most expressive vineyards sites in and around the Russian River Valley. Their 80-100-year-old Zinfandel vineyards and the wine they produce are irreplaceable treasures. 331 Healdsburg Ave, Healdsburg, CA 95448.

LIOCO Wine Tasting Room

LIOCO Wine Tasting Room is a super charming tasting room located in downtown Healdsburg. The team is super friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are spectacular and well-priced for the amazing quality, not to mention the wide range of varietals is perfect for wine enthusiasts. 320 Center St, Healdsburg, CA 95448

LIOCO is dog-friendly so naturally, it’s one of Ernestine’s, my Frenchie’s, favorite spot to visit too!

Portalupi Wines

Portalupi Wines is made in California with Italian expression in every sip. This combination of flavors is truly one of a kind. They have a cozy tasting room with amazing service. This family-owned winery takes their roots to the next level with the fantastic wine they produce here in California. 107 North St, Healdsburg, CA 95448

Marine Layer

Marine Layer Wines is the newest tasting room on this list and it’s amazing. Marine makes authentic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from some of the best vineyards of the Sonoma Coast and has one of the most stunning tasting rooms on the list which is a must-see for any Pinot Noir & Chardonnay lovers.   308 B Center St, Healdsburg, CA 95448.

Rootdown Cellars

Rootdown Cellars is a great spot for a unique and modern wine tasting. Winemaker Mike Lucia makes some amazing wines that you must try yourself. Read about Rootdown Cellars and my Interview with owner & winemaker Mike Lucia on the blog.

Siduri Wine Bar & Tasting Lounge has one of the largest assortments of Pinot Noir wines I’ve seen. They offer Pinots from Sonoma, The Russian River, Oregon, and Santa Barbara County. I visited and experienced the Food & Wine pairing, which was incredible. I also highly recommend any food or wine lovers to check out this cool, modern tasting room which will not disappoint. 235 Healdsburg Ave, Healdsburg, CA 95448

The Harris Gallery

The Harris Gallery in Healdsburg is an incredible spot to enjoy stunning wine with the most intricate art displayed all around you. Owned by a father and son duo, this gallery and wine tasting room is a unique experience that you must try while in Healdsburg. Think about going on a wine and art tour or book the picture-perfect outdoor pergola area or living room for a group.
