Arriving at Tolosa Winery on a gorgeous summer afternoon. I’m thrilled for this visit!
I visited Tolosa Winery on a Tolosa 1772 Club Release Party so upon arriving I was welcomed with a glass of Tolosa Sauvignon Blanc. Yes please, I feel right at home already!
The Tolosa Winery 1772 Club Release party agenda and delicious menu. I’m in for an afternoon of beautiful wine, stunning views, and tasty food.
I naturally went straight for the Pinot Noir table and started here.
The Tolosa Primera Pinot Noir is my favorite and surprise surprise, it’s also their most expensive Pinot Noir. Somehow, it always seems I fall in love with the most premier wine a winery offers. Hmmm. This wine is from their home Ranch, Edna Ranch and spectacular. Read the tasting notes here.
My kind of pairing the beautiful Tolosa Pinot Noir with delicious Pizza from The Bear & The Wren.
After enjoying some wine and pizza my host Mike took me on a guided tour of the various Tolosa Vineyards. This experience is called the Vineyard Excursion which includes visiting the various estate vineyards and during the visits, you get to taste the wines from the unique estate vineyards. This was such a special and memorable experience which I’d recommend if you enjoy seeing the various vineyard terroirs, sites and learn as much as you can about Tolosa Winery and their estate vineyards.
All smiles, I am truly in my happy place. A beautiful vineyard, glass of wine and great company educating me all about Tolosa Winery, their vineyards and more!
Arriving at Edna Ranch, the home ranch estate where Vintner Robin Baggett first planted grapes in 1988 before co-founding Tolosa winery a decade later and then Alpha Omega in Napa Valley in 2006.
Vineyard side tasting of the beautiful Tolosa Pinot Noir on the vineyard where the grapes were cultivated. This is so special to see and get to taste each wine in its true sense of place and home where it was grown.
Views of the Tolosa Winery production facility before I enjoyed my barrel tasting.
The cool set up for my Tolosa Winery Barrel Tasting. I love how this room has views of the barrel and tank rooms. Wait until you see what I got to taste!
All smiles enjoying the Tolosa Wines Barrel Tasting. What a fabulous experience getting to first see the vineyards where all of these grapes originated, taste the current releases there, then conclude with a barrel tasting of the not yet released wines. This visit was more than I could have dreamed of and I am so thrilled I had the chance to visit Tolosa Winery.
Fun fact, if you make it to Napa Valley, be sure to visit their sister Winery, Alpha Omega in St. Helena. Read more about them on my Top 10 St. Helena Wine Guide here.
Thanks to Tolosa Winery for hosting me for this complimentary visit and tasting. As always I only write about experiences I love and adore and all opinions expressed are my own.
