Arriving to Region Wine Bar and Ernie is just as excited as I am to check out this new Wine Bar located in Sebastapol’s The Barlow.

The interior has two rooms, one with a wine bar and one with wines by the pour. You just insert your card and can decide what size pour you want (rating from 2 oz pours to 7/8 oz pours). It’s really genius you can try over 25 different wine brands all in this beautiful setting.

The space has a great interior and exterior flow. Guests are welcomed inside then after grabbing a glass or pour of whatever you want to try there’s plenty of outdoor seating.

The wines are all in these coolers where guests can choose whatever size pour they want (from the 3 options) available. I love this as you can really try so many different wines if you do the smallest pour of each. With over 25 wineries on the wine list guests have such a wide variety of wines to discover and fall in love with.  A few of my favorite’s on the list include Kobler Estate, Trombetta, Three Sticks and Front Porch Farms to name a few.

Upon arriving you’re given a card which is used to track your wine pours and then when you conclude at the end you pay your bill.  I tried about 7-8 different wines (various pours from the smallest one to a medium pour of my favorite) and it was about $45 so fairly reasonable and a great way to discover fabulous new wines without having to commit to a glass or bottle of one before you know if you love it.

They also offer a delicious cheese plate (from another Barlowe Restaurant partner) which was perfect.
