As many of you that follow me may know, I have been fundraising the past few months for Chef’s Cycle, supporting No Kid Hungry. This was my second year, but first CENTURY ride- 100 miles over two days! Follow along below to learn more about My Ride with Chef’s Cycle, No Kid Hungry.
What is Chef’s Cycle?
Chefs Cycle is an annual fundraising ride hosted by Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, uniting chefs, hospitality pros, food lovers, and advocates to fight childhood hunger. More than just a ride, it’s a powerful celebration of community and commitment—raising funds to ensure every child in the U.S. has access to healthy meals.
2nd Year Riding
This was my second year riding and I achieved a personal goal I couldn’t even imagine. Day one? A whopping 100 KM (that’s 60 miles, folks)—my longest ride ever. I completed my first century ride where I rode 100 miles over just TWO days! Seriously, what’s cooler than 100+ chefs, food writers (yours truly!), and industry pals coming together to fight childhood hunger? Looking to connect soon with some amazing chefs and winemakers? Check out my Taste of Sonoma blog to grab your tickets while they’re still available!
I am already planning to ride a third year with Chef’s Cycle 2026 so looking forward to that!
I could NOT have done this without my Coach, Brandelle, right by my side! Having her join me for Chef’s Cycle made every mile more fun, every hill more conquerable, and every snack break way more entertaining.
My pal Brandelle aka “Coach” who I recruited to ride with me for the first time and Chef Micah #1 Fundraiser and my riding pal. We met last year and immediately hit it off riding together!
Another new pal Chef Angelena Faherty of Two Hospitality and Jaindl Farms. We met her on the road and immediately recruited her to our crew the “Party Pace” group me, Brandelle and Micah.
Thank You!
Summer can be tough for kids, no school means no guaranteed meals. I ride to help make sure every child gets the food they need to grow, learn, and dream big. Food is a basic human right, and that’s why the $850,000 we raised is SO important!
Now, for the biggest THANK YOU! Thanks to your generosity, we’ve smashed my fundraising goal! I set out to raise $9,000 but with your help we made it passed $11,000! Thank you for every donation, cheer, and overall support! I’ll be riding in 2026 and would love you to join me. Reach out if you love to cycle to help ensure children don’t go hungry!
Our team Baker, Butcher, Bottlers & Babes were awarded the #1 Fundraising team.
