The Stunning Alfresco Luncheon at Copain Winery with The Supper Club

I recently enjoyed a stunning Alfresco Luncheon with The Supper Club held at none other than Copain Winery in Sonoma. The Supper Club is a members-only society that hosts exclusive and luxurious events around the world. For more on the Supper Club, you can read about my Dinner with them at the Angler in San Francisco here. In June, they partnered with Copain Wines to host an intimate gathering of guests. We enjoyed a four-course luncheon with wine pairings and a view. It was a fabulous event, and the gorgeous photos by Molly Haas say it all!

The Supper Club Luncheon at Copain Wines

First off, let’s talk venue. Copain Wines has got to be one of the most beautiful wineries in Healdsburg to taste at, let alone attend an event. For other fantastic Healdsburg wineries, check out my Best Wineries in Healdsburg blog post here. The Supper Club’s setup accentuated this winery’s charm even further.

The day commences with a generous pour of the Copain Rosé of Pinot Noir for each guest. Getting to share a glass of wine over great conversation among friends and colleagues was a perfect way to kickoff the event.

The talented Chef Tracey created a delicious menu for the afternoon. She shared the ingredients and her process at the beginning of each course.

For the first course, we enjoyed the “Farmer T Salad” complete with Frog Hollow Apricot, Chevoo Cheese, and an elderflower vinaigrette. It was light, refreshing, and a lovely way to open the meal.

Next up at the Copain Luncheon, we had Chef Tracey’s smoked salmon with beets, crispy red rice, sumac crème fraice, and shiso.

The third course was a crispy gnocchi with braised lamb and herb gremolata. It paired beautifully with the 2012 Brosseau Syrah.

Last but certainly not least, we had a chocolate profiterole that included chocolate crunch, cherry coulis, and chocolate soil. It was a heavenly treat.

Thank you to the Supper Club, Copain Wines, and the incredible staff of the event for creating a perfect afternoon Luncheon. I am looking forward to the next one already!
