The Luxurious Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills

During my first trip to Tokyo, my mother and I had the pleasure of spending two fabulous nights at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, a luxurious Hyatt hotel high above one of the most exciting cities in the world. This was the start of our Japan adventure before boarding a 12-day Celebrity Cruises journey, and boy, were we in store for an incredible introduction to Tokyo!

Set on the upper floors of Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, this stunning hotel pairs modern Japanese design with breathtaking views, spacious rooms, delicious dining and the warm, personal service the Andaz brand is known for. Trust me, waking up above the Tokyo skyline is a pretty magical way to experience the city for the first time.

THE LUXURIOUS ANDAZ TOKYO TORANOMON HILLS

From the moment you arrive, Andaz Tokyo feels like a serene retreat floating above the energy of the city. The hotel occupies the top floors of the 52-story Toranomon Hills Mori Tower, placing you close to Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace, Ginza, Marunouchi and Roppongi. It is an ideal home base when you want to explore Tokyo while still having somewhere calm and luxurious to return to.

The interiors blend contemporary style with warm wood, Japanese-inspired details, beautiful textures and incredible artwork. I adore hotels that feel connected to their destination, and Andaz Tokyo absolutely does. The design is polished and sophisticated without feeling stuffy—which is exactly my style!

One of my favorite surprises at the hotel was the snacks throughout the day! Guests have access to the 24-hour Andaz Lounge, where nonalcoholic drinks, local snacks and cookies are available all day. From 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., the lounge hosts a happy hour with heavy appetizers, wine and beer. I always love thoughtful hotel touches like this, especially after a long day of sightseeing.

During our stay, I also had the opportunity to meet the hotel team and tour the property. Their hospitality was wonderful from start to finish and made our short 48-hour visit feel extra special.

The property has earned some fabulous recognition, including One MICHELIN Key in the MICHELIN Guide Hotel Selection. It was also named one of the Top 10 Best City Hotels in Japan in the 2026 Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific. After seeing the views and amenities for myself, I can understand why!

Depending on your room category, the floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Bay, Rainbow Bridge, the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Skytree or the glittering city skyline. Honestly, these views are a show all on their own!

The bathrooms are equally fabulous, with a separate shower and deep soaking tub—the perfect place to relax after a full day exploring Tokyo. Rooms also include locally made linens, a Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary Wi-Fi and complimentary nonalcoholic drinks and snacks from the minibar.

The Sky Suite is the ultimate splurge. This enormous 210-square-meter corner suite has 180-degree views of Tokyo Bay and Tokyo Tower, a separate living room, office area and guest powder room. The spectacular suite shown in the opening photo says it all—just look at that view!

THE FABULOUS ANDAZ TOKYO TORANOMON HILLS BREAKFAST

I’m a huge breakfast person when I travel, so experiencing the hotel’s breakfast was high on my list. Breakfast is served at The Tavern – Grill & Lounge on the 51st floor, where the views are almost as fabulous as the food.

The bright selection of fruit, pastries, savory dishes and made-to-order favorites creates the perfect start to a busy Tokyo day. There is something extra special about enjoying breakfast while looking out over one of the world’s most exciting cities.

ANDAZ TOKYO TORANOMON HILLS DINING

As a huge foodie and wine lover, I always appreciate a hotel with multiple dining options—and Andaz Tokyo delivers! You can enjoy everything from a beautiful breakfast and European-inspired dinner to rooftop cocktails, intimate omakase and gorgeous pastries without leaving the property.

THE TAVERN – GRILL & LOUNGE

The hotel’s signature restaurant, The Tavern – Grill & Lounge, is located on the 51st floor. Its menu is inspired by classic European cuisine and showcases seasonal ingredients sourced from Japanese farmers and artisans. The striking dining room, warm atmosphere and sweeping city views make it a fabulous setting for breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails or dinner.

THE ROOFTOP BAR

For cocktails, the Rooftop Bar on the 52nd floor is an absolute must. The sophisticated semi-open-air space looks out toward Tokyo Bay and Odaiba, while its creative cocktails highlight premium teas, seasonal fruits and local ingredients. Sipping a cocktail while Tokyo sparkles below you sounds pretty perfect to me!

THE SUSHI

Tucked behind the Rooftop Bar is the SUSHI, an intimate eight-seat counter offering a traditional edo-mae omakase experience. Guests can watch the sushi masters prepare each course with seasonal seafood and pair dinner with the restaurant’s original “52” sake. This is such a special option for an elevated Japanese dining experience without ever leaving the hotel.

BEBU & THE PASTRY SHOP
