I discovered Tataki Sushi Bar two years ago when I first moved into Pacific Heights. I heard that it was a great spot for delicious fresh sushi that was farmed with sustainable farming practices. It sounded like a dream come true. The only problem is if you arrive past 7pm or so to the 15-20 seat restaurant expect to wait! The restaurant is quite small, part of the charm so plan ahead and go early, or grab a drink next door at Wild Hare while you’re waiting. Another option is to call ahead and carry out. This is what I do most of the time and I love it. You’ll see below my experiences dining in and carryout out Tataki!
