Provianten is an AMAZING restaurant on the waterfront of Mandal, Norway. We went on a rainy day and only in Norway would the rain not stop us from eating outside (that and there was no room inside!). The owner was fabulous. He helped us himself, along with another server and was awesome.  The food was authentic Norwegian which means lots of fish, heavier comfort foods, and just delicious. I was told the Seafood Fish Soup was a MUST HAVE which was true. I’m not usually a Fish Soup eater but this was creamy and rich with deliciously Fresh Seafood. The perfect comfort food for a cold rainy Norwegian Day.  This is The J.S.F.’s #1 pick for Where To Eat & Drink in Mandal Norway.
