Where is The Bristol and why should you visit: The Bristol is located in Chicago’s trendy Bucktown area. It’s within walking distance to many other great restaurants, shops, and bars and is one of my favorite brunches I’ve experienced in Chicago. The scene is lively (I was in on a Sunday at 10:30am) with great food, amazing cocktails and a cozy brunch environment you’ll find hard to leave. 2152 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60647
The hangover breakfast dish which we didn’t try but I hear they are known for
What do I recommend you eat: As evident from the above, we tried a lot during our visit. For someone who typically isn’t a sweet eater, I was blown away by the Cinnamon Toast. It was my favorite dish of the entire brunch. We shared two entrees, the fried chicken with biscuits and a french toast. The biscuits were the best part of the entrees. They were so flavorful, fluffy and yummy I ate every single bite. The entrees were good, however, it was the sides I could not stop eating. Not only the biscuit, but the duck fries which were perfectly crispy (exactly how I love my fries), with delicious duck flavor. The breakfast potatoes were also unbelievable. I would recommend sharing an entree, ordering the cinnamon roll and trying every side. No joke, they were that good! Also of course save room for drinks. My bloody mary was delicious!
The most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever experienced. Also probably the thickest cinnamon toast I’ve seen, it looks like french toast! Yum.
The french toast
The chilaquiles, what’s not to love about this dish with a fried egg and other yumminess
Cheers to a brunch date in Chicago with my sister Jeannine. She’s an amazing supporter of me and my blog and it was such a blast showing her how us foodies do brunch!
