One of the most luxurious elements of my stay at The Ritz Carlton Bali (read about my stay here) included an afternoon at their fabulous Ritz Carlton Bali Spa. For those of you who spa regularly when you travel, you begin to expect the same things at a Spa. A complimentary visit to their gym (which if you’re a hotel guest is already included), however, something I had yet to experience at a Ritz Carlton Hotel or luxury hotel for that matter was a Flying Yoga Class. After my visit to the Ritz Carlton Bali and taking a flying yoga class I have to admit, I was not only blown away by this class but the entire gym and spa at this stunning property.
Upon arriving to class it was a gym studio with ropes hanging in the ceiling and mats below.
After about 15 minutes of standing stretching with our feet, legs and arms in the ropes our teacher demonstrated how we would use some of those moves to hang and fly in our ropes. This made me a bit nervous as I have a bad back, but sure enough, after following the instructor’s guidance I was able to not only “fly” but also hang for a few minutes and enjoy the stretch. This was such a cool Yoga class, something I would recommend you try when you visit The Ritz Carlton Bali or any other Ritz Carlton which may offer this incredibly unique and fun class.
After my Flying Yoga class, I continued my afternoon of R & R heading to the Spa for a signature Massage. This treatment was about 60-minutes and was lovely. I am such a fan of a massage. I always leave super relaxed, and really in vacation mode. I did this on day two of my three-day stay so it was perfectly timed to ensure I was in that zen pampered zone for the remaining day of my stay. Thanks again to the Ritz Carlton Bali for hosting me to the FLying Yoga and Signature Massage treatment!
The Spa has both an indoor and outdoor relaxation room. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor space as I was in Bali and when do I get to be in such a beautiful and tropical spa setting. Typically at home in the United States, the relaxation rooms are all indoors so I took advantage and spent some time resting before my treatment here.
The outdoor pool for spa guests to enjoy pre or post-spa treatment.
The treatment room.
Before my massage, I was given three oil scents to choose from for the oil to be used in my massage.
I learned during this massage that in Bali before a massage is given, your feet are soaked and cleaned. In this case with beautiful Rose flowers. This set the mood for the next 60-minutes of pure relaxation and bliss during my massage!
