Where To Eat In Istanbul Turkey

Kosebasi Restaurant – We went here on our first night for authentic Turkish Kebab. Starting with the appetizers (eggplant, mint salad, diced tomatoes, garlic yogurt) to our Chicken/Beef/Lamb kabobs everything was delicious. I even had desert here as I felt when in Rome… and I didn’t want to miss an authentic Turkish Dessert. We wanted to go back a second time it was that good but resisted to try something new. Definitely a MUST eat in Istanbul.

Istanbul, Turkey Where To Eat

House Cafe along the Bosphorus River near the bridge – This is a great spot to have a meal or coffee while taking in the sights of the Bosphorus bridge. The interior has a very cool vintage shabby chic feel to it with awesome light fixtures and a beautiful bar (shown below).

Mikla (At the Pera Hotel) – For our second night we were directed to a fancier less authentic restaurant. The food was delicious however after experiencing our first night of delicious Turkish food we were hoping for more. This has a wonderful view overlooking the city and it’s definitely a great “special” spot either for dinner or drinks with a great outdoor roof terrace. From the roof terrace you can see amazing views of the city.

Kosebasi was certainly a hit – I still remember the meal several years later! If you are looking for a local, authentic meal this is your place!
