As a lover of all things food & wine, I am always thrilled to experience a winery’s thoughtfully curated food & wine pairing. See my Best Food & Wine Tasting Experiences in Napa & Sonoma here. One winery that stands out, in particular, is the fabulous Bricoleur Vineyards. This Sonoma County vineyard shows guests a fabulous day of tasting. See what makes them so special below! 7394 Starr Rd, Windsor, CA 95492
Seeing the Bricoleur Vineyards logo at the front gate already has me ready for my first glass of wine!
The landscaping and decor here is absolutely enchanting. I could spend a whole summer here.
The expansive grounds and romantic arches at Bricoleur Vineyards almost make me feel like I’m wine tasting in Europe.
Upon arrival, I am greeted at the adorable shaded check-in area. This tasting was earlier on during COVID, so being open means they have all of the precautions in place. From masks, to temperature checks, to sanitizer, Bricoleur makes sure all of their guests stay safe and healthy.
Sitting at Bricoleur Vineyards on a gorgeous day with a bottle of wine in-hand. I can’t help but smile on a day like this!
I wore this cute striped sundress to my tasting and paired it with some boho earrings. If you want some fashion inspiration, check out my What to Wear Wine Tasting blog post here.
Masks in place but ready to taste. The winemakers and staff at Bricoleur Vineyards are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Shown is Owner Mark Hanson who is super friendly and during my Saturday visit was on-site working and mingling with guests. It’s touches like this at a family winery that I adore.
Shown is Chef Shane McAnelly (formerly of Chalkboard and Brass Rabbit) who I adore and my pal Chris Richard who I met years ago when he was working at Handley Cellars an Anderson Valley Winery I adore. Read more about Handley Cellars here.
My peach-toned mask is one of my favorites in my collection. If you want to know the best brands to buy super chic masks from, see my Favorite Reusable Face Masks blog post here. For a more luxe look, see my Favorite Designer Face Masks blog post here.
Starting the tasting, we begin with a light and crisp Sauvignon Blanc and an equally bright and delicious food pairing. Yum!
Shown is the Frito Misto Fried Vegetables with a Cucumber Melon Soup
Bricoleur follows their Sauvignon Blanc with their Chardonnay. This is a bigger Chardonnay reflective of the Russian River with rich, buttery flavors that are perfect with the food pairing.
As I was enjoying the seated pairing I saw others being served a Fried Chicken Sandwich and you know how I feel about Fried Chicken. This was beyond amazing and I LOVED it. See my Best Fried Chicken in Wine County blog post here.
Wine, fried chicken, Chardonnay, and house-made potato chips. I am in heaven.
Bravo to Chef Shane and his culinary team on their INCREDIBLE culinary offering. This is truly top-notch and I can’t wait to return to experience more food pairings and some more Fried Chicken. It was soooo good!
After the tasting, an enchanting stroll through Bricoleur Vineyards is in order!
Beautiful Sonoma sunshine, stunning greenery, and enchanting arches. You must visit Bricoleur Vineyards when in Sonoma County.
Thank you to the incredible Bricoleur Vineyards team for hosting me for this visit and showing me such a fantastic time. I will be back as soon I can to re-live this fantastic tasting!
