Where to Eat in Portland Oregon.
My sister Lise used to live in Portland so I was fortunate to visit her a few times while she lived there. Portland is a very cool city and one of the best parts is it’s only two hours from the coast. The coast of Portland offers great surfing (with a wet suit of course) and a fun quaint village for a weekend away. Read about that under Short Sands & Cannon Beach, Oregon reviews…. While in Portland we had some great meals, a few vegan (since my sister used to be a Vegan) some mixed (since I LOVE meat) so read about some of my favorites below!
The Farm Cafe – This is one of the best vegetarian restaurant’s Lise has taken me too. After years of having a Vegan sister you begin to appreciate the really good Vegan/Vegetarian spots and this is one of them. 10 SE 7th Ave, Portland, OR. 503- 736-3276.
Laughing Planet Cafe – This is one of my FAVORITE Mexican restaurants in Bloomington Indiana (where I went to school at IU). Ironically, the founders of the Bloomington Laughing Planet retired to Portland and opened this additional location. It’s in a very cool “hipster” area called North Mississippi. There are a few great coffee shops and it’s fun to walk around and shop. 3765 North Mississippi Avenue, Portland, OR 97227.503-467-4146.
Albina Press – This is a cool coffee shop in the Mississippi Area. As you know Portland is known for their coffee and you’ll see why after visiting Albina Press. 4637 North Albina Avenue, Portland, OR. 503-282-5214.
