Where to Eat in Amagansett New York (The Hampton’s).
Meeting House – This is hands down my favorite restaurant in the Hampton’s. The food is always great, not too fancy but tasty food and great options. There’s also a nice bar scene so if you don’t want to have a sit down dinner you can hang in the bar for drinks or eat a light bite at the bar. I’ve done both here, drinks/dinner at the bar and great big group dinners so regardless whatever you do you can’t go wrong. Be sure to order their Mac N’Cheese and the Steamed Artichoke. Also in the summer be sure to call ahead for a resi it’s super popular and fills up quickly. 4 Amagansett Square Drive. Amagansett, NY. 631-267-2764.
Mary’s Marvelous – This is one of the two coffee spots in town, super great coffee and bagels. They are not NY Pick a Bagels but tasty enough to cure a fun night on the town and they also have other great gourmet options (muffins, granola….). 209 Main Street. Amagansett, NY. 631-267-8796.
Jacks Stir Brew Coffee – The other quaint coffee shop in town is Jacks. I checked this out on my last day in town and realized it’s just as good as Mary’s and not quite as crowded busy. It’s in the square where Meeting House is. 154 Montauk Highway. Amagansett, NY. 631-267-5555.
Talkhouse – This is the spot with the most nightlife in Amagansett. It has live music and it is great because there’s an inside (with the live music) and also an outdoor area so in the summer you have various options depending on what you prefer. Note there’s usually a cover around $20 (since there the only spot people want to hang with live music and a lively scene in Amagansett you’re sort of stuck paying it). 161 Main Street. Amagensett, NY. 631-267-3117.
