22 Bowen’s – For a great all around American meal try 22 Bowen’s. It’s on the pier which is fun so you can enjoy the view and it’s right in town so convenient if you want to go out after or walk around and enjoy the nightlife. 22 Bowens Landing. Newport, Rhode Island. 401-849-5990.
Scales and Shells – If you want fresh tasty seafood this is the spot to check out. My friend Brad (who first told me about Newport peaking my curiosity and eventually leading to me visiting) suggested this spot. It’s very charming with lots of character and a great chill bar scene if you want a casual bite at the bar or a good happy hour spot. 527 Thames Street. Newport, RI. 401-846-fish.
