Chicago is hands down one of the most fun beautiful cities to enjoy during the summer months. Having grown up there I can attest to the amazing, fun summers (nothing like the chilly winters). After a recent visit back home where I experienced some amazing Chicago rooftop bars & restaurants, I wanted to share my recommendations for the Best Rooftops in Chicago to experience. Enjoy!

Aba Restaurant Chicago

The newest Aba restaurant from the incredible Lettuce Entertain You Group has the most amazing rooftop terrace in the West Loop. It is a posh destination for elevated Mediterranean fare & cocktails, plus a lounge-style rooftop patio. This is a MUST see on this list for delicious craft cocktails, amazing views and fabulous food! Cerise Rooftop at Virgin Hotel

Located on top of the Virgin Hotel in the heart of downtown Chicago, Cerise Rooftop provides a cozy panorama of delights. Enjoy a delicious meal while taking in spectacular views of the Chicago skyline. This modern, playful eatery also offers a mix of well-crafted cocktails, culinary creations and curated music that make for the perfect atmosphere day or night. 203 N Wabash Ave 26th floor, Chicago, IL 60601

Cindy’s Rooftop

Whether you’re eating, drinking or just enjoying the views, Cindy’s Rooftop is another Chicago staple to check out. Located in the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel the vibe here is always lively, fun and bumping! 12 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60603

Gibson’s Italia

Any Chicago Foodies know of the adored Gibson’s Steakhouse. Well, now they have another amazing concept, Gibson’s Italia with stunning Chicago river views (on the ground floor and second-floor dining room deck). I dined here and loved everything about the experience. The chic interior, the sleek swanky vibes, the Chicago River views, and the delicious food! 233 N Canal St, Chicago, IL 60606

London Hotel Rooftop Bar

The London House Rooftop Bar has been hot a few years now, so it’s not as new as some others on this list but it’s still a great spot. With spectacular views of Lake Michigan, The Chicago River AND Michigan Avenue no wonder the lines are always out the door to get onto this roof. Plan ahead and make a reservation (or if you’re a hotel guest I’m sure it’s a bit easier). Regardless, this is another must try roof in Chicago. 85 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601

Nobu Hotel Chicago

Offering commanding views of the Chicago skyline, the Rooftop at Nobu Hotel has breathtaking views (no matter day or night). The rooftop has a very modern and lively ambience. The views are unbeatable and so is the delicious food! This definitely deserves a spot on my Best Rooftops to Experience in Chicago. The Gwen: A Luxury Collection Hotel, Michigan Avenue Chicago

The Gwen: A Luxury Collection Hotel, Michigan Avenue Chicago is another gem on this list that I’ve experienced. I stayed with them earlier this Winter and loved the hotel. It has stunning decor, a fabulous Michigan Avenue location and a super cool rooftop terrace that is great in both the summer and winter (think heated lamp and warm hot cocoa). The Soho House Chicago

Another private Club in Chicago with an incredible Rooftop is the Soho House Chicago. I was also here earlier this month and was amazed by the pool scene (on a Monday), apparently, most members don’t have day jobs (kidding) but it was bumping. Whether you are working, eating, drinking or swimming this rooftop has it all! 113 N Green St, Chicago, IL 60607.

The University Club’s 8th Floor Roof Top

Although The University Club is not open to the public, their new 8th Floor Roof Top Restaurant and Terrace are worth sneaking in to experience (kidding, but not really it’s that fabulous). I visited earlier this month and it was spectacular. With a beautiful interior space (I love the modern tiles, blue velvet color palette) and some of the most beautiful Lake Michigan and Millenium Park views in the city, this is a spot you must snag an invite to visit! The University Club Chicago. 76 E Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60603.

Viceroy Hotel Pool & Lounge Devereux

For those of you looking for a hot hotel bar in the Gold Coast, the Viceroy’s Devereux is just that. With a pool, a swanky chic bar with a stunning retro feel to it, this is for sure one of the most adulty bars on the list. 1112 North State Street 18th Floor, Chicago, IL 60610
