Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Portugal for the first time. I was invited to attend the Porto.com Food & Wine Festival which took place in Porto, the Port capital of Portugal. This was truly a once in a lifetime adventure where I got to know the Portuguese culture through their amazing food, wine, people and experiencing the country. See more about the Porto.com festival below and all the amazing food & wine I was able to enjoy.
The award winning spices and tea’s from Argucltura biologica
The team behind the Casa Do Vale Flavors offering jams and preserved fruits and onion’s from the Duoro region.
I tried literally every single one of these flavors they were so delicious!
An assortment of some of the local curated meats. I attended the festival on my first day in Portugal and after a few days of exploring the country, I quickly learned in Portugal cheese and meats are a part of almost every meal. It reminded me of the diet of my Norwegian family where cheese, breads and meats are served at lunch, breakfast and dinner. Quite delicious!!
The room where the food and drink trucks were set up. They had the cutest food trucks ever. See more below.
Paulo with Porto Reccua the Winery who invited me to the festival and hosted me. A huge thank you for your hospitality and sharing your passion for Portugal, Portuguese Wine & Foods during my visit.
Enjoying the delicious sparkling wine from Porto Reccua
The Porto Reccua cocktail cart. This cart is where they serve port cocktails at events and such which are quite refreshing and delicious. Even if you don’t drink port, these port cocktails are so light and refreshing you may start drinking it after trying these.
