This Spring Emily Martin Communications & Events (my Marketing & Events Company) had the pleasure of hosting a blogger lunch with Gary Farrell Vineyards & Winery at Healdsburg’s Valette Restaurant. We had an amazing group of bloggers join for a curated dining experience with the beautiful Gary Farrell Wines paired back to our lunch menu. See more of the fun we enjoyed below!
The line up of Gary Farrell Wines we enjoyed during lunch…. We even tried a Port from Gary Farrell Wines which was such a treat as I’d never had their port. Divine!
Guests were welcomed with a glass of Gary Farrell Ritchie Chardonnay paired with delicious Charcuterie.
The 2015 Durell Vineyard Gary Farrell Chardonnay paired perfectly with the Day Boat Scallops en Croûte. This Scallop dish is a staple when dining at Valette Restaurant. If you’re looking to experience something similar, amazing Gary Farrell Wines paired with culinary pairings plan a visit to Gary Farrell they offer quite a few different tastings for whatever you’re looking for. With our main courses most guests enjoyed Duck paired with the 2013 Gary Farrell Rochioli Vineyard Pinot Noir. I don’t eat Duck so had a lovely Chicken dish instead. These wine pairings were really so heavenly with the incredible Valette Restaurant food. Thanks again Gary Farrell for hosting us for this divine afternoon in Healdsburg.
My main course which was Chicken served with the Rochioli Russian River Pinot Noir. This is one of the fuller bodies, jammier Pinot Noir wines we enjoyed which is exactly my style.
Cheers to an afternoon of food, wine and fun! Thanks again to Gary Farrell Winery, Valette Restaurant and all of our lovely blogger guests for sharing this day with us.
Last but not least was dessert where we tasted the Gary Farrell Dulcette Port-Style Wine. I had never had Port from them and it was as expected delicious.
The dessert which was my favorite dessert at Valette, the It’s Not A “Snickers Bar” with Cocoa Nib Tuile, Peanut Powder and locally produced Volo Dark Chocolate. I have had this dessert literally every time I dine at Valette and I love it more and more each time.
