Blue Hill Stone Barns, Tarrytown New York

For anyone that has heard about Blue Hill at Stone Barns, the more remote farm setting second location of the famous New York City Blue Hill Restaurant, it’s even more fabulous and taster than you could have imagined. It’s about 25 miles from the city in Tarrytown NY, very easily accessible via train (then a 5 minute cab ride) or you can go the Zip Car route which is what we did. Regardless, it’s a great excuse to get out of the city, enjoy the nice scenery between the City and Tarrytown and have one of the most memorable delicious meals you’ll ever experience.   The food and service at Blue Hill Stone Barns were both outstanding and the scenery just as fabulous. Hands down one of my top favorite meal’s in the New York area with my favorite date (my dad!).  630 Bedford Road. Tarrytown, NY. 10591.

I’d recommend an early dinner reservation (we had a 5:30pm). That will let you enjoy the daylight views, walk around the farm, and check out the gift shop before heading into the restaurant. There’s a lovely bar area (inside the restaurant) where you should be sure to have a cocktail, if it’s cold out there’s a fireplace which adds to the ambiance and charm.
