Wit & Wisdom Chef Michael Mina’s Newest Downtown Sonoma HotSpot

Michael Mina’s newest restaurant, Wit & Wisdom, offers a highly curated culinary experience and a robust wine list. Having just opened in September of 2020, dining there is quickly becoming one of Sonoma’s must-do’s in my book. Continue below to see some photos and read about my incredible Wit & Wisdom visit!

At Wit & Wisdom you can build up your appetite or fight off your food coma at their Bocce courts! The surrounding seating and overall decor makes Wit & Wisdom truly one of the most special and relaxing hangout spots in downtown Sonoma.

I just love this warm and modern interior. It perfectly matches the balance of comfort and style that you’ll find at Wit & Wisdom.

Equally as important, Wit & Wisdom is a cocktail lover’s dream! They have an impressive wine list along with a wide selection of artisanal cocktails.

Next, let’s talk food. I started my meal with this scrumptious king crab and endive caesar.

My second appetizer was this savory “pop tart”! This creative morsel is stuffed with braised short rib and topped with horseradish cream.

I also ordered the hypnotizing crispy Berkshire porchetta.

One thing you must try at Wit & Wisdom is their carbonara pizza. This pizza includes crispy guanciale, thinly sliced Yukon gold potatoes, and pecorino cheese, all topped with a soft-poached farm egg and freshly cracked pepper. It truly doesn’t get more decadent than this dish.

The amazing servers spoon the egg on top of the pizza at your table. Yum!

The only thing that could possibly make this pizza better? Eating it fireside with a glass of Sangiacomo’s ViMaria pinot noir.

Of course, there’s always room for dessert. Above is their Swanton Berry Farm shortcake, complete with a ginger-poppyseed biscuit and a bush berry compote. It also comes with some charming little edible flowers as no detail is spared!

Thank you to Chef Michael Mina and his incredible team for such a fun and delicious evening. I hope you all get the opportunity to dine at Wit & Wisdom soon!
